Sand Sculpture of Gods

On one of Puri’s fine sand beaches, Sudarsan Patnaik creates an ephemeral sand sculpture representation of the divine siblings Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra. He fashions the omnipresent images of the region’s favorite deities working from memory. His offering will be carried into the Bay of Bengal with the next high tide.
